Reboarding

Reboarding focuses on supporting employees who return to work after events such as parental leave, long-term sick leave, sabbaticals, or internal role changes. Unlike onboarding, which supports new hires, reboarding helps existing employees reconnect with the organization, its tools, processes, and culture.

A structured reboarding experience may include updates on company changes, refresher training, access to learning resources, and renewed goal-setting. When done well, reboarding reduces ramp-up time, strengthens engagement, and ensures returning employees feel supported, valued, and ready to contribute from day one back at work.
