From analogue binders to a digital learning engine
When you meet Blendow Group today, it is easy to believe that they have always been modern in the way they produce and deliver education. They offer hybrid courses, e-learning, recordings, lunch webinars, and residential courses – all packaged in a way that makes education easily accessible regardless of where the participant is located. But when Production Manager Fredrik Björksäter joined the company in 2016, reality looked very different. At that time, the business was characterized by analogue routines, printed binders, and printed course certificates.
– We printed course binders in A4 format and handed them out. Everything was very analogue, Fredrik explains. Producing course material took time. Everything had to be collected, printed, packaged, and delivered manually. When the pandemic hit, Blendow Group faced a crossroads: pause operations or accelerate digitalization. They chose the latter, with full force.
– We transformed in 72 hours. It was an incredibly fast transition, says Fredrik.
It marked the beginning of a journey that today defines Blendow Group’s education business.
The challenge: An analogue setup that slowed growth
Blendow Group delivers legal training to a target audience that is both broad and pressed for time. Lawyers have fully booked calendars, many are in court proceedings, and they need flexibility to be able to engage in competence development.
– Lawyers are very busy and do not always have the opportunity to attend in person on the course day. That is why the ability to access the training afterwards is absolutely crucial, Fredrik explains.
The previous way of working was not adapted to this reality. It took up to ten days to produce course material, communication before and after course occasions was entirely manual, and venue capacity set a natural limit on how many participants could attend. In addition, all information was scattered across different systems, creating unnecessary friction for both participants and the internal team.
Digitalization therefore became not a choice but a necessity in order to grow while maintaining the quality that Blendow Group is known for.
"The effects of digitalization are visible throughout the organization. Participant satisfaction has increased steadily year after year."
The solution: Learnifier as the hub in a modern learning process
With Learnifier, Blendow Group gained a platform that could bring together the entire learning chain – from the idea stage and course planning to delivery, follow-up, and updates. The change that was perhaps most noticeable was how quickly and smoothly course material could now be produced. Where lecturers previously had to hand in material well in advance, they can now update it right up until the evening before the course starts.
– We can now deliver complete course material within 48 hours, which is invaluable in legal subjects that are constantly changing, says Fredrik.
An equally significant change was the transition to digital course documentation. The physical binders were replaced by digital documents that are well structured, searchable, and easy for participants to download. This saves time, is significantly more environmentally friendly, and means that no one needs to leaf through heavy binders or rely on everything being correct at the last minute.
Automation has also fundamentally changed the way of working. Blendow Group went from 13 manual touchpoints before, during, and after a course to seven automated steps that always happen when they should, without anyone needing to keep them in mind. For participants, this means that everything is gathered in one place: course documentation, Zoom links, recordings, and course evaluations.
– That you find the same things in one and the same place, that is important, says Fredrik. The clarity and structure that Learnifier has created has become one of the most significant quality improvements.

The result: Higher quality, more satisfied participants, and a scalable operation
The effects of digitalization are visible throughout the organization. Participant satisfaction has increased steadily year after year, something Blendow Group carefully tracks by reading and analyzing over 3,500 course evaluations annually. Fredrik says that they are now at an average of around 4.74, a level that few education providers reach.
– We are now up to 4.74 out of 5 on average, and participants become more and more satisfied every year, he says.
Scalability has also changed dramatically. Where a physical venue previously set a clear limit, the hybrid format has made it possible to accommodate more participants without compromising quality. Today, Blendow Group can accommodate 32 people on site and an additional 50 digitally – and could theoretically grow much more. But interaction is important, and therefore they choose a balance that benefits pedagogy.
– Could we have 200? Absolutely. But interaction is important to us, says Fredrik.
Digitalization has also made it possible to reach entirely new target groups. The flexibility that digital formats offer has opened the door to more segments, more job titles, and a broader range of courses and subscription services.
– We had four target groups before, now we have six, seven, and it’s growing, says Fredrik.
In addition, the collaboration with Learnifier has resulted in a major quality boost in the course model itself. Together, Blendow Group and Learnifier reviewed the entire course structure and improved layout, pedagogy, and user flow, something that directly reduced the number of questions from participants and strengthened the experience.
The future: Growth with quality as the compass
Blendow Group has a clear ambition going forward: to grow significantly, but always with quality in focus. This means not only expanding the number of courses, but also continuing to develop the technology, strengthen the hybrid experience, and explore new ways to create value for their customers.
– We want to grow fantastically much more in terms of revenue, but always with quality at the core, says Fredrik.
With modern tools, smart processes, and an organization that constantly dares to question old ways of working, Blendow Group is well equipped to lead legal competence development well into the future.
Tips for others who are about to start using Learnifier
When Fredrik reflects on his own journey and the advice he wants to pass on, three things become clear. The first is to dare to start even if the platform feels new. The second is to dare to embrace the technology and explore the opportunities it offers. And the third is not to hold on to previous ways of working just because they are familiar.
It is a perspective that clearly characterizes Blendow Group’s development – and one that has been crucial in reaching the level they are at today.
